2018 Home Meet - Georgetown

Red Team Families -

We are kicking off the start of summer with our first home meet!  

MEET LOCATION:

Bella Mar Pool

CHECK-IN TIMES:

  • 4:35AM - Parking Volunteers
  • 4:45AM - Tent Set-up Volunteers
  • 4:45AM - Meet Set-up Volunteers
  • 5:45AM - Tent Parent
  • 6:00AM - Swimmer (check your swimmer in with the tent parents at their age group tent)
  • 6:00AM - Volunteer - both first and 2nd shift (check your swimmer in first and then check-in with our Volunteer Coordinators at the white check-in table)
  • 7:10AM - Stroke/Exchange Judge and Timer Meetings (BOTH 1st and 2nd shift) - Timers meet at Lane 1 Starting Block, Exchange/Stroke Judges meet at the far end of lane 1
  • 7:10AM - Ready Bench volunteers report to the Ready Bench
  • 7:20AM - 1st shift volunteers, timers and judges report to positions
  • 7:30AM - Start of the Meet
  • EVENT 45 - Break Come and cheer on our Parents and Coaches in the always fun to watch Parent/Coach Relay
  • EVENT 46 - 2nd shift Volunteers report to positions
  • EVENT 78 - Exchange Judges report to positions 
  • EVENT 81 - Tent Tear Down crew report to 5/6 Tents
  • END OF MEET - Meet Tear Down crew check-in by the Ready Bench area 

Between graduations and end of school year celebrations everyone has lots of fun planned for Friday.  Enjoy yourselves, but please make sure you get your swimmer checked in by 6:00AM.  Late swimmers may be scratched from events.  

PARKING:

  • A Parking Map will also be posted under the Calendar section of the website.  
  • Parking will be limited and we need everyone to adhere to the parking regulations.  Parking for Stars families will be along Bella Mar Trail as indicated by the green lines on the map.  
  • The Bella Mar parking lot, parking along Calistoga Way and immediate parking along Bella Mar Trail will be reserved for our visiting team
  • There will be a drop off zone along Calistoga Way
  • As a safety precaution we will limit any traffic past the Calistoga Way & Bella Mar intersection.  

Please make sure to respect our Parking volunteers, observe posted signs, leave cones in place and do not park in front of houses.  

MEET ABSENCES:

  • Report any full or partial meet absences by utilizing the Report a Meet Absence button on the upper right hand corner of the Red Team website
  • For any injury, illness or other situation that occurs that will prevent your child from attending the meet please text me (808-346-1889) as soon a possible so we can adjust our meet entries

HEAT SHEETS/MEET ENTRIES:

  • Heat Sheets and Meet Entries are now posted under the Calendar section of the Red Team website.  Please check the meet entries file that is posted along with the Heat Sheets.  This will tell you what events (including heat and lane) your swimmers is in.  Relays are also listed on here as well.  However please know that relays are always subject to change.  

APPS:

  • Meet Mobile - this app allows you to get preliminary event results , official results will be posted on the fence near the Concessions stand
  • Meet Bop - this app allows you to follow the meet's event and heat progression
  • Swimtopia App - this will show your child's individual events (it won't show relay events) as well as any volunteering shifts you are signed up for

CONCESSIONS:

  • Our hardworking Concessions crew will keep everyone fed with their selection of breakfast tacos, doughnuts, coffee, hamburgers/hot dogs, pizza, pulled pork and a wide selection of candy.  Bring cash as swimmers LOVE to hit the Concessions stands!

APPAREL:

  • Our apparel team will be set-up in the Pavilion selling caps, goggles, and all sorts of Stars branded gear.  Go get yourself a new shirt, hat or yard sign in your new favorite color - RED!  

OTHER:

  • Age group tents are reserved for swimmers and Tent Parents ONLY
  • Age group tents are nut-free
  • Ready Bench and area behind the starting blocks are for swimmers ONLY
  • Baby Pool and Splash Pool are off-limits during the meet.

  • Medley Relay Order: swimmer 1-backstroke, swimmer 2-breaststroke, swimmer 3-fly, swimmer 4-freestyle

LEAVING THE SWIM MEET:

  • Please help us by leaving the Bella Mar pool in the same or better shape than we found it.  Pick up any trash you see as well straighten tables and tuck in chairs. 
  • You must check-out your swimmer with a tent parent
  • If you are leaving the meet before the free relays please double check with the tent parents to ensure your swimmer is not swimming in a relay. Even if your swimmer wasn't initially scheduled to swim in a relay they may have been added during the meet.
  • Tell your swimmer how much you enjoyed watching them swim:)
