News from Kay
Great first meet, Stars! We solidly beat our opponent, set about a dozen records, produced 72 Invitationals qualifiers, swam hard and had fun! Despite a very limited time to prepare, our swimmers responded beautifully and performed admirably. Thanks to my dedicated coaches who always work so hard. Thanks also to the many volunteers who make it all possible.
There are two areas in which we do need to improve:
1. Please wear your team cap. It is our uniform. I understand that parents want to identify their kids more easily but you can use the heat and lane for that. After all, would you wear your own personal helmet in a football game?! Invitational qualifiers caps will be distributed on Tuesday so that should help many of you.
2. Please be on time to check in. Also, please don't leave a meet until you confirm with your tent parent that you are free to go. There are occasions when changes have been made to the line up and swimmers end up being needed to complete free relays.
Our team is a real team. We all pull together towards the same goal. Thanks for cooperating in these areas which make our team identity even stronger.
I'm looking forward to next week! Go Stars!
