RED STARS FAMILIES—

Congrats, team! You crushed our first home meet! Awesome swims, personal bests, and everything ran smoothly thanks to your hard work and teamwork. We have one more home meet this week—let’s keep this vibe going and make the rest of the season epic!

Here are just a few notes as we start the week!

Post Meet Documents: the following documents are attached to this email and can also be found in the calendar section (under past events) on the website:

• Meet Results - Official results from the meet
• Invitational Qualifiers - This is a list of individuals who have qualified to attend the Invitational on June 30. Invitational Qualifying times can be found on the right hand side of the website as well as at the top of each event on the Heat Sheets. We have 62 qualifiers! CONGRATULATIONS! (Coach Diana will be distributing invitational caps at practice on Tuesday.)

Meet Photos: We have a hard-working volunteer each meet that takes photos of swimmers, coaches, parents, volunteers, etc. Check back later this week to see the photos from this past meet. You can access the photos once they are posted by clicking on the "Meet Photos" button on the right hand side of the website. Password is stars

Ribbons: will be in the family folders starting Tuesday morning. Family Folders are set out at the front of the pavilion.

• Placement ribbons are given for 1st - 10th place in individual events and 1st - 3rd place for relays
• Time Improvement ribbons are given for any swimmer that improves their time in that event
• Participant ribbons are given to any 5/6 swimmer that did not receive a placement or time improvement ribbon for that meet

DIVISIONALS AND INVITATIONALS - What’s the Difference?

• Divisionals (Saturday, June 29) - There are 4 divisions within the Northwest Swim Circuit. The Divisional Meet at the end of the season consists of the three teams in our division competing against each other. Every swimmer who has swum in at least 2 meets during the season is eligible to participate in the Divisional meet. In order to swim an event, swimmers must have swam the event during the regular season and received a time. Make sure you report any meet absence as soon as possible. 
• Invitationals - (Sunday, June 30) This an individual meet open to those swimmers who attain a qualifying time during the season.

PRACTICE REMINDERS -

• Temperatures are getting hot so please send a water bottle to practice with your swimmer.
• If possible try and get bathroom breaks done before practice starts - swimmers are losing valuable practice time running to the restroom
