NATIONAL ANTHEM SINGER(S) NEEDED!

We would love to have a swimmer(s) from our team sing the National Anthem at our two home meets, June 8 and June 22. It can be a solo, duet or group – whatever you would like to do. Please e-mail me asap if you are interested.

MEDLEY RELAYS WILL BE LIMITED AT JUNE 8 MEET

Because we have meet time restrictions at our pool, the Stars and Round Rock will only have one heat per Medley Relay event at the beginning of the meet. This is only for Medley Relays and should not affect the 6 & Under Freestyle Relays nor the Freestyle Relays at the end of the meet. Coach Kay will make every effort to get swimmers on at least one relay. Please do not be disappointed nor take this personally if your swimmer is not on a relay. We have to adhere to the strict meet time limitations given to us.

PARKING RECOMMENDATION FOR HOME MEETS

For our home meets, we are asking all Stars families to park at River Ridge Elementary and take a complimentary shuttle to Bella Mar. We are highly restricted from parking on the Bella Mar neighborhood streets, and we would love to leave all available parking along Bella Mar Trail to our visiting team. Let’s be good hosts and park at River Ridge Elementary. Please see the attached map of available parking within Bella Mar that was approved by the HOA.

FOR YOUR SWIMMER’S SAFETY AT MEETS…

Please do not remove your child from the care of the Tent Parents without telling a Tent Parent! This not only includes removing them from their tent, but also removing them after they swim their event. It is the Tent Parent’s responsibility to ensure all swimmers get to the Ready Bench and then are returned to their tent after swimming their event. If you want to take your child, you are welcome to do so, but PLEASE tell the Tent Parent first! Otherwise, we have to assume the child is lost, and you will have caused a lot of unnecessary panic. If there are ANY questions about this incredibly important policy, please e-mail me.

ATTENTION ALL ON-DECK VOLUNTEERS AT MEETS!

‘On-deck’ refers to Lane Timers, Stroke Judges, Exchange Judges and Ready Bench. We cannot start/continue the meet without you! Please listen to the Announcer for when/where you need to report for pre-meet meetings as well as your shift. Runners, Data Verification, Heat Ribbon Distribution, Event Tracker and Scoring volunteers also need to be in place and ready to go when it’s time for your shift. Second shift starts immediately following the Parents vs. Coaches Relay (if time permits). Second-shift volunteers should already be in place during the relay. Lack of volunteers at any one of these jobs can cause a delay in the meet, which we cannot afford when we are on an extremely strict schedule.

Some of the folders are getting mighty full! At practice this week, be sure to stop by and pick up the contents of your folder. The folder bins are lined up against the wall in the pavilion for all practices.
